MEET THE WOW BUTTONS CREW!
"WoW Buttons: Bob McGrath, Scott Arthur Martin (founder)
and Sally Ziskowski (CLA)

The founder of WOW Buttons is Mr. Scott Arthur Martin. Looking for employment in 2001, Scott decided the one job he really enjoyed doing was making 500 buttons for the Almonte Community Development Corporation’s Project for Improved Access. Mr. Martin endeavored to search for more projects using a borrowed a button machine from Pakenham Public School. Customers came calling for Scott to put school pictures on buttons, and for children’s day camps to have button workshops for children’s artwork. Scott likes working for the WOW Buttons business, and he is an expert button maker.

In 2002 WOW Buttons invested in a new button machine to expand the business. Referrals for new business came from customers wanting locally made buttons. In 2003 WOW Buttons produced 1000 button magnets for the International Plowing Match, and began producing 1500 buttons annually for the Stewart Park Festival in Perth. In 2005 WOW Buttons purchased a new machine and hired a new worker, Mr. Bob McGrath, for high production seasons.

WOW Buttons is a business supported by the Community Living Association - Lanark County. Facilitator Sally Ziskowski, at the Community Support Services office in Almonte, provides employment support with customer service, button supply purchasing, graphics, and button production.
